Meet the Author
Jonathan Ebbeler isn’t just a storyteller—he’s an adventurer who’s lived the kind of life you’d expect to read about in one of his books. A lifelong explorer passionate about history, he’s studied economics, math, and history (because why stop at one subject?) and topped it off with an MBA specializing in operational management. When he wasn’t buried in books, he was writing them—contributing chapters to an online book on operations management and publishing journal articles that made even LEAN production methodology sound exciting.
But Jonathan’s story isn’t confined to classrooms or boardrooms. He’s been a three-term politician elected as a vice mayor and appointed as a planning commissioner and a guy who knows how to get things done (while wearing a suit and probably juggling a dozen tasks). He’s also a lifelong athlete, having played competitive soccer (football for you purists) in the U.S. and Denmark. When he’s not chasing a ball, he’s chasing the clouds as a pilot with over 20 years in the cockpit.
And the passport stamps? Oh, he’s got plenty. Jonathan has lived in the Cayman Islands, the U.K., Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, California, Utah, Georgia, Florida, and Washington, D.C.. Right now, he’s soaking up the sun in the Algarve, Portugal, with his wife, two kids, and endless inspiration from the breathtaking cliffs and storied landscapes surrounding them.
With The Algarve Adventure series, Jonathan combines his love of history, adventure, and mystery to take readers on a journey they’ll never forget. Whether he’s unraveling ancient secrets or inventing new ones, you can bet there’s always more to come. Buckle up—this is just the beginning.
